VMware View mouse pointer disappears from Wyse PCoIP Thin Client

April 6, 2010

After login to a virtual desktop from a Wyse PCoIP enabled Thin Client my mouse pointer disappears from the display. This only happens when using the PCoIP display protocol while connecting to Windows XP or Windows 7 virtual desktops. When using the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) everything works fine.

In my case the Wyse Thin Client was delivered with an older firmware version. After downloading the latest firmware version from the Wyse Support Downloads and upload that to the device the problem is gone.

I am experiencing a disappearing mouse, but only when using multi-monitor within the View Desktop. You can drag the mouse across first monitor and watch it disappear as it rolls onto the second monitor. I am using the View client(4.01) on a Dell workstation. Any thoughts?

I had to Uninstall the Agent on the VM reboot and re-install and it fixed the problem.
