iPad 2 (nicknamed iPad Too) probably presented on 2 March 2011 at Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco
February 23, 2011
Last months there are lots of rumours about the new iPad2. The new iPad2 would have a camera and a gyroscope and features a USB port and SD card slot. It will also be thinner and looks more like a MacBook with a 7-inch display.
I did not spend too much time posting about all speculations around the new iPad2 but now it seems that the really launch date is closer than ever!
iPad 2 launched on 2 March 2011
It seems that the correct date has overtaken by “All Things Digital”. They post the following on their website.
“According to several sources close to the situation, the Wednesday date in a little more than a week is firm and will take place in San Francisco, the scene of many such Apple events. In that case, the venue is likely to be the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.”
If All Things Digital is correct, the iPad 2 launched in the same place as its predecessor at the Yerba Buena Center. Over one year ago, on 27 January 2010, Apple CEO Steve Jobs presented the iPad one. After launch it took until April before the iPad appeared in stores. So I think that we have to wait till April this year before we can get the new iPad2!
